Mechanic (Heavy Civil Plants)
About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will assist with the ongoing maintenance and repairs ofthe Company’s extensive fleet of earthmoving plants, heavy vehicles and motor vehicles. This will involve field servicing, and a field service truck is provided.
The following experience is essential:
- Performing services, repairs and maintenance on a range of mobile plant / equipment.
- Maintaining high levels of safety, quality and efficiency in the Maintenance Department.
- Performing machine diagnostics and repairs.
- Testing and adjusting of machine operation and monitoring systems (utilising relevant literature and testing equipment).
- Coordinating site-based equipment maintenance projects.
- Generating required technical reports (such as service reports).
About you
This role is well suited to an enthusiastic and driven individual with well-developed mechanical skills and a grounded and level-headed approach.
Being a registered and licensed motor mechanic, possessing competent welding skills and experience working with construction earthmoving equipment would all be highly regarded qualifications.
What you need to have
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology
- A current HR licence (or willing to obtain)
- A current Forklift licence (or willing to obtain)
- An WHS Industry Induction Card (White Card)
